My Athlon 4200 x2 has taken a sever performance hit. WZ allears to require a constane 45% of the 2 CPUs performance as shown by task manager. This is really not acceptable. Is there a fix or solution? Ron
Hi davepl - thank you fro reply. I have uninstalled WZ and reinstalled. When uninstalled I had NO unexpected activity. On reinstallation there was similat but lower activity. In addition to windowszones.sys (task manager shows 2 instances of windowszones.sys running) shows continuous activity - 2 symantec processes are active ccevntmgr and SPBBCSvc.exe Total load appears to be now about 20% Any idead?
